woohoo! i can finally ditch my crappy, home-made vhs-to-dvd copies of two of my favourite movies: if.... and o lucky man!

crikey, did they take a while to arrive on dvd! anyway, they're coming now (and one from criterion, nog) i'm really looking forward to seeing them (and in probably the best presentation quality yet - right here in my own lounge). damn, i can't wait. malcom mcdowell was born to play two roles: mick travis in if.... and alex in a clockwork orange. awesome.

and cheers to director lindsay anderson. if.... helped me get over my über-serious boarding school and i remember sprinting clear across braamfontein one evening to see him speak at wits university.

this week our first css website went live. woo hoo! the first iteration that went up on june 28 was a simple but klunky tables based affair but, hey, it worked and it got done! two weeks, a lot of learning, reading and pleanty of utter frustration later it is fully css based and the code inside is as simple as the look outside. but boyohboy, that was a learning curve of note.

works for me...

just heard that bill flynn, a great south african actor, comedian (and person), died last night. i worked with him on a series of corporate video programmes in the early nineties as an actor and scriptwriter.
