never heard of john prine until i saw his name mentioned in this interview with roger waters. checked out a coupla cd's and wow! i'm lovin' him.

he sounds variously like a mix of bluegrass, country, folk, dylan and rock. also hear the germs and rhythms of many other songs and singers i love in him, including roger, all of whom must have found a load of inspiration here. i can't believe i've never heard of this guy. its not like he's new on the scene. strewth! where the hell have i been?
