gentle giant...

went diving this last week while at sodwana bay for a beach wedding. on the way back from one of the dives we came across a whale shark and all bundled overboard to gaze in wonder at this incredible beast.


it was around 6 to 7 metres long and was completely unperturbed by all of us diving up and down around it. it swam slowly and deliberately, a few metres off the bottom, its tail hardly moving.

truly an awesome sight and experience in the silent blue haze.
